today I learned: costco audits the companies it buys from to see if working conditions are good, such as people being forced to work overtime to create their products. also, bugs bunny accidentally transformed the word ‘nimrod’ into a synonym for ‘idiot’ because nobody understood his joke comparing elmer fudd to the biblical figure nimrod (a mighty hunter). next, in a recently released study, researchers asked 5000 people about a fabricated political event. 50% reported remembering the false event, while 27% claimed they saw it on the news. finally, the founder of match.com, gary kremen, lost his girlfriend to a man she met on match.com. hahaha.
